Getting Your House in Midnight: Step-by-step guide
With the release of the Midnight expansion, you will be able to choose a plot and decorate your house and your yard. You can join a public neighborhood, a private neighborhood or a guild neighborhood. But before we get into all that.. how do you actually get your house.
Introductory Questline
Like most new things in World of Warcraft- it starts with a quest. On the Alpha, this quest automatically pops up when you first log in. It’s called A House for You and will lead you to your faction’s portal to the housing zone- either Founder’s Point or Razorwind Shores.
When you arrive in the housing zone, you will talk to the Steward who will have you fly around and look at the different areas in the zone and choose one where you want to buy a house. Don’t worry too much about the location at first. You can change the plot that your house is on later by moving your house to a newly purchased plot. but beware, some areas fill up fast.
To buy the house, you need to find a plot without a house on it and click on the sign out front, which will then allow you to purchase the plot. Once purchased, a house will show up on your plot.
The tutorial will show you how to remove items and place items in your house before directing you to talk to a handful of people throughout the zone, showing you where the vendors are. You will purchase one pre-selected item from the vendor and right click on the item once it’s in your bag. This is how you add a decoration item into your storage unit.

The price that you pay for the plot hasn’t been released yet, but Blizzard is saying that they will make it affordable so that everyone can buy a house.
